Frameworks, libraries, mobile platforms and a better web standard.

The story below is old. Now the new HTML5 and CSS3 standards is more minimalistic, flexible and forward looking than the older standards. This makes the life for us as content providers, designers and application developers much easier, but also more challenging. There are now so many Java Script libraries, PHP frameworks and platforms like WordPress or Drupal that it is not always easy to get an overview and choose the best one for your web site.

In addition there is a mobile revolution where new mobile devices pops up almost every day. There are native platforms, hybrid and browsers and devices that supports WebKit the open source web browser engine.
